Dad abducts daughter from British mother, shuts off contact (United Kingdom)
Of course the fathers rights people assure us that only mothers "gatekeep" and keep children from speaking to the other parent. Actually abusive fathers are far more likely to pull this tactic, as it meets their abuse/control agenda.
Dad is identified as FILIPE SILVA.

A BRITISH girl who has been missing for three months since visiting her father in Portugal could be in Spain, according to her mother.
Seven-year-old Giselle Candice Kelly Silva, known to her family as Ellie, went to visit her father Filipe Silva, 35, on July 15 and has not been allowed to contact her mother Candice Gannon, 27, since.
“The last time I spoke to her she seemed really frightened, like she was being told what to say. I have another little girl who wonders where her sister is, it’s really upsetting,” Gannon told the Olive Press.
“I gave him her British passport so they could go travelling in what was meant to be a two week holiday, he has contacts in Spain from sailing in Cadiz,” she added.
Gannon, originally from Cheltenham, is Ellie’s sole custodian and is growing increasingly worried for her child’s welfare.
Failing to return Ellie on July 31, Silva was ordered by a court to return her to her mother’s home in Maderia, but he failed to do so.
An arrest warrant has since been issued for Silva after police found no trace of the pair at his home.
Silva has disconnected his phone and left the address where he lived with his mother Ana Maria Nascimento in Vilmoura.
A ‘Schengen alert’ has also been issued for Ellie, alerting 25 other countries that she is missing.
The Olive Press has been unable to contact Silva directly and was told by his company, Mouragolf, that he will not be in contact with us and could not specify when he will return.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ellie or her father should contact police immediately

Convicted baby killer dad put in prison isolation (Portugal)
Well, at least in Portugal baby killers are still considered dirt. Dad ALCINDO CABRAL, who beat his 5-month-old son to death, has been placed in isolation in prison after other inmates vowed revenge. I think that in a lot of countries--especially the U.S.--fathers who kill children or their mothers (especially in murder-suicides) have become so routine that it doesn't elicit a lot of public shock anymore. Just a yawn and a flip of the channel.
Note that Daddy had a history of domestic violence and threats against the mother. This is pretty typical.

Infant murderer placed in isolation
17/4/2010
A father who beat his five month old son to death has been placed in isolation in prison after other inmates pledged revenge for the heinous crime. The tot’s funeral took place last week under PSP police supervision.
Five-month-old David was beaten to death by his own father and left for ‘two or three hours’, according to autopsy results, before any sort of action was taken.
Only later did his father, 23-year-old Cape Verdean Alcindo Cabral, a brick-layer, warn one of his sisters and his wife, 20-year-old Carla Gonçalves, a cleaner, who was at work.
It was determined that the baby had suffered blows to the head and torso, which culminated in his death. He was assaulted in his home, in Alcobaça, though it is believed it was not the first time he had been beaten.
A police source revealed the baby showed ‘signs of earlier abuse’, though there were no hospital records to confirm he had received assistance for any sort of injury. Police therefore believe the young couple had treated their son with home remedies.
Reportedly Carla Gonçalves also suffered physical abuse at the hands of her husband, but kept quiet through fear of further abuse.
Last week, as the funeral took place and the tiny white coffin was lowered into the ground, Gonçalves family members struggled to restrain the baby’s distraught mother, who has been hospitalised since the incident.
She reportedly tried to stop the coffin from being lowered into the ground, screaming “Take my boy out of there; don’t let them bury my baby”:
Both sides of the boy’s family were at the funeral, the father’s relatives claiming they were there “with a clean heart”.
“I am very sad, I didn’t want this to happen, I wanted to see my grandson grow up”, Jovino Cabral, the baby’s paternal grandfather told Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã.
José Carlos Gonçalves, Carla Gonçalves’ brother, was described as ‘visibly upset’ and said he wanted ‘revenge for the death of his nephew, who was killed by his father like an animal’.
PSP police officers were waiting outside the cemetery, ready to intervene should there have been an outbreak of violence between the two families, though their intervention was not required.
Alcindo Cabral was jailed last week on Tuesday afternoon, and since his incarceration has been kept in isolation, segregated from other inmates through fear of reprisals. His fellow inmates have already threatened to attack him, should they pass him in corridors.
Reportedly, prisoners jailed for crimes such as rape, child sex abuse and child negligence are classified by fellow inmates as cowards and seen as prize targets in an unwritten code of conduct. Because of this, Alcindo Cabral is kept in his cell for 23 hours a day, only being allowed out to see daylight for one hour a day.
Note that Daddy had a history of domestic violence and threats against the mother. This is pretty typical.

Man held on suspicion of killing five month old son
10/4/2010
A 23-year-old man is being held in PJ police custody on the suspicion of having murdered his five-month-old son in Alcobaça. He will remain in custody until the investigation into the incident has been completed.
The suspect is being held in the Leiria Regional Prison Establishment.
According to Leiria PJ’s Department of Criminal Investigation, “all indicates that the child, a five-month-old male, died after suffering physical injuries to his head and torso”. The father is also believed to have attacked the child one month earlier as, the report stated, there were “signs of previous aggression and neglect that were not treated in hospital”.
The baby’s mother was also questioned by police but not made a suspect.
The head of the Alcobaça Bombeiros Voluntários, Mário Serol, told Lusa News Agency that they had received a call to attend an incident involving “a baby pram or chair that had fallen over” in a house “100 metres from the headquarters”.
“The child was unconscious and also showed signs of encephalitis; a traumatic head and brain injury”.
Mário Serol explained that, at the time the firemen arrived, the child’s situation “was already very complicated”.
Three firemen were present at the scene, “they carried out resuscitation procedures, at the house and throughout the kilometre-long route to the hospital”, he added, concluding that as the hospital suspected it may have been a case of physical abuse, the decision was made to inform the PSP police.

The Shocking Story of Hollie Greig (Aberdeen, Scotland)
Hat tip to Annie for finding this horrifying story of child sexual abuse and official coverup. I'm sure there are far more pedophile rings of this type than most of us want to acknowledge, and that many of these sickos are more than capable of acting out viciously against anyone who opposes them.

SK-H001 - THE SHOCKING STORY OF HOLLIE GREIG
In the summer of 2000, Hollie told her mother, Anne, that she had been repeatedly sexually abused by her father, Denis Charles Mackie and brother Greg. The abuse had begun when Hollie was just six years` old. Hollie said that Greg had also been abused by his father.
Anne Greig reported this immediately to the local police station in Aberdeen. During the course of that summer, Hollie, who has Down`s Syndrome, began to provide more names of abusers. It transpired that Denis Mackie had been sharing his daughter with a ring of sexual abusers, which included a serving police officer with the Grampian force, Terry Major and an Aberdeen sheriff, Graeme Buchanan.
Medical and other evidence supported Hollie`s account and Grampian Police accepted the truth of Hollie`s statement. Nonetheless, no action was taken by Grampian Police against the perpetrators and despite Anne Greig`s persistence, the Procurator Fiscal, now Lord Advocate, Elish Angiolini prevented any police action taking place.
In fact, the authorities instead attempted to discredit and intimidate Anne by having her forcibly taken to a mental institution, with the intention of handing Hollie back to her abuser father. Fortunately, Anne Greig had the presence of mind to have herself checked by a leading psychiatrist, who proclaimed her perfectly sane, a view with which even the institution were forced to concur.
In the years that have followed, Anne Greig has persisted in her attempts to bring the abusers to justice, not only for the sake of her own children, but also to prevent these dreadful practices continuing against others, which includes adults with learning difficulties as well as children.
It was only in 2009, when the News Of The World courageously broke the story, concentrating on the hitherto unheard of fact that Hollie had received payments from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority for crimes that have not even been investigated.
The measures to cover up this terrible story continue unbounded by the authorities.
Several years ago, Denis and Greg Mackie went to live in Portugal. On 8th May 2007, immediately following Madeleine McCann`s disappearance, Anne Greig, accompanied by a victim`s support witness, went to her now local police station in Shrewsbury to tell them to alert the Portuguese Police, as despite the proven case of paedophile abuse, neither of the Mackies had a record of any kind. The McCann team has accepted that the Mackies ought to have been questioned immediately. It is now understood that the British Police failed to pass on these details to their Portuguese counterparts.
Hence, the official cover up has even extended to detracting from the Madeleine McCann investigation.
Investigators have already informed us that discoveries of other paedophile rings in Scotland has been discovered, but it is clear that certain senior figures of authority are prepared to obstruct the course of justice and allow the known sexual abuse of some of society`s most vulnerable people to continue unabated, just to save their own skins.
The Hollie Greig story is now widely known by the media, police, legal, medical and political professions.
The facts are beyond dispute.
The only question that remains will be as to who has sufficient decency and courage to bring this and other issues to a just conclusion.
