A 32-year-old man raped his two-month-old son and sent footage of the attack to a paedophile ring, a trial in Norway has heard.

The father admitted the offences yesterday at the start of what the prosecutor described as one of the most 'serious abuse cases in Norwegian legal history'.

He has been charged with two other men and two women with their involvement in a paedophile network which filmed their own children in sexual positions or acts.

District Attorney Kristin Røhne said: 'The people involved had a sexual interest in very young children.'

The court in Drammen was told police began tracking the paedophile ring last year after finding sickening footage of the rape on the computer of a suspected child abuser.

Mr Røhne said in a prosecution statement: 'We knew nothing about this child, but on the video we could hear the sound of voices from Norwegian radio or television in the background.'

The video was traced to a 34-year-old man who was allegedly sent the footage by the 32-year-old father, it was reported by The Local which cited a report by Norway's Aftenposten newspaper.

The 34-year-old is said to have previously been convicted of sexually assaulting a minor and distributing videos of child abuse in 2009.

The two men have appeared in court alongside a 27-year-old man and two women aged 27 and 43.

They have all been charged with involvement in a paedophile network which filmed their own children in sexual positions or acts.

The three men have also been charged with raping the 27-year-old woman's two-month-old baby.

A lawyer for the 32-year-old man told the court: 'My client has chosen to confess to all charges and lay all his cards on the table.'

The trial continues.

Pedo dad gets custody of 5-year-old son (Norway)

Dad is identified as KURT BERGSETH. Notice that not only does Dad get custody of the younger son, but Mom has been stripped of her parental rights. This is how it works these days. It's okay to be a daddy pedo; it won't affect your rights at all. But heaven help you if you are a protective mother trying to save your child from sexual abuse. 'Cause you will lose EVERYTHING.

Notice that the Norwegian judge didn't even examine the evidence provided by investigators. They don't even pretend to be objective anymore.

Norwegian Court Gives Child to Alleged Pedophile Father

11:46 17/04/2012
MOSCOW, April 17 (RIA Novosti)
A Norwegian court has ruled to deprive Russian national Irina Bergseth of her parental rights and give her five-year-old son to her Norwegian ex-husband who had allegedly sexually abused the boy, Russian TV channel Rossiya 24 reported on Tuesday.

Last year Irina, a mother of two boys, 5 and 13 years, accused her ex-husband of molestation after her younger son complained about pains in his genitals, saying that it had been his father, Kurt Bergseth, to blame. The woman reported to the Norwegian police but policemen have found no evidence of abuse and gave both children to foster families.

In August 2011, the woman attempted to bring her elder son, who has Russian citizenship, to Russia but they were detained in Poland. Russian child’s ombudsman Pavel Astakhov helped return the boy to Russia. The elder boy also confessed to being sexually molestated by his father.

The court ruled on Tuesday to deprive Bergseth of her parental rights for the younger son and awarded the father custody. The judges also dismissed materials provided by the Russian investigators that show evidence against the father.

“Now I have the right to meet with my child once a year under police supervision, and I’ll have to pay for each meeting 300,000 rubles ($10,000),” Irina told the Russian tabloid Life News. She also said she would have to spend 1.5 million rubles ($50, 000) for appeals procedures in court.

“Termination of her parental rights and refusal to listen to her lawyer is an unjustified and ungrounded violation of her rights,” Astakhov said, adding that investigators should continue to probe into her former husband’s actions.

The official also said that Irina’s case was complicated because the younger son did not have Russian citizenship.

In late March, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia may ease the procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship for children from marriages between a Russian citizen and a foreigner.

Several scandals over the citizenship of children whose parents divorced have taken place in Russia over the last few years.

A diplomatic row arose in 2009 when Finish national Paavo Salonen was charged for illegally taking his five-year-old son Anton from his Russian mother Rimma to Finland with the help of a Finnish diplomat, who crossed the Russian-Finnish border with the boy in the trunk of his vehicle.

Mom ordered to return girls to violent father who tortures, kills animals (United Kingdom)

I see no evidence offered here that this mother was "mentally ill." Only that she sought to protect her children from their violent father. I suspect, therefore, that this is a crap accusation, used to deflect attention from what is really going on here.

By contrast, notice that evidence does document that the UNNAMED DAD is violent; he ADMITS that he killed animals and apparently tortured some others. So it appears that the mother's assertion, that dad is on "always on the verge of extreme violence" is substantially true. But it doesn't matter. In an age where fathers rights are now supreme--and the rights of mothers and children are being hacked to nothing--the mother is being ordered to return the children to Norway because it would be in their "best interest" to be subjected to the authority of a father who tortures and kills animals. Never mind what this behavior says about his potential (or actual) around human beings. More evidence that the Hague Convention has been totally subverted into a tool to help support criminal fathers.

Mentally ill mother ordered to return two daughters to father who is 'always on verge of extreme violence'

The woman accepted at the Supreme Court that she had wrongly brought the girls from their Norwegian home.

A mentally ill British woman must return her four-year-old and seven-year-old daughters to Norway so they can be near their 'angry' Norwegian father, the UK's highest court ruled today.

The woman accepted that she had wrongfully brought the girls from their Norwegian home to England last year, said the Supreme Court, sitting in London.

But she alleged that their father was 'always on the verge of extreme violence' and had killed the family cat and a pet rabbit, and sprayed budgies with bleach.

She argued that there was a 'grave risk' of the children - who cannot be identified for legal reasons - being placed in an intolerable situation if returned.

A panel of five Supreme Court justices said the father denied the allegations, although he accepted that he could get angry and had killed the cat and the rabbit.

Judges said international law required children wrongly removed from their country of habitual residence to be returned unless there were exceptional circumstances.

And the panel concluded that returning to Norway would be in the children's best interests.

Dad only gets 40 days in jail for threatening to kill daughter (Sandefjord, Norway)

UNNAMED DAD, who immigrated to Norway from Kurdistan, actually threatened to kill his daughter while at a police station. Can't get much more verification than that. Regardless of the evidence, he still only gets 40 days in jail. The daughter is living in hiding, afraid that dad will carry out his threats about defending the "family honor" and the usual bullsh--. Ever notice that these guys NEVER consider the possibility that THEY are the true disgrace and embarrassment to the family? Of course not. Life is so simple and beautiful when you are a narcissist and all your delusions are backed up by religious fantasies, yes?

Norway: Father sentenced to 40 days for threatening to kill daughter
Islam in Europe 07 September 2009

On August 26th, the Sandefjord court sentenced a father who threatened to kill his daughter to 40 days in prison. The threats were made at the Sandefjord police station. The father was also sentenced to pay compensation of 50,000 kroner for the traumatic experience, half of what a rape victim would have gotten. This was because her trauma was not only due to the threats, and the victim had to deal with serious problems at home even before the threats were made. The father was also sentenced to pay his daughter for lost income and court expenses.

In court she only answered a couple of questions. The prosecutor therefore read out her testimony at the police station. Her father was not present for these proceedings.

Last October her father told a police agent that he'll kill his daughter. He said it was better to go to prison for murder than that the family's honor would be ruined.

The daughter, "Alina" (19), came from Kurdistan 10 years ago. Today she lives at a secret address. Alina is afraid her father or somebody else from the community will do good on the threats. Her mother had asked her to join her on a summer vacation to Kurdistan and Alina feared that she'll be married off or killed.

When she was 16 she entered a child protection center by the request of both Alina and her parents. She lived there for several period. When she was 18 she lived for a short time at home. After a while at the crisis center for women, she got her own apartment in Sandefjord. She was living there for 3-4 months when her parents contacted the police.

Alina says she fought daily with her father since she began school, but at the same time, she doesn't see him as a strict Muslims.

Q: what did you do that got him to threaten you?

It's difficult for Alina to answer.

A: I didn't come home by 9-10pm on the weekend, like he say I should. And he didn't like any of my friends, neither the Norwegians nor the foreigners. He called them bad things. Papa didn't like that some of them smoked, even worse was that I did it.

Her parents told a police agent they'll kill her on October 6th. On October 7th, she spent the night by her parents. She was only told of the threats on October 13th, a week later. she got a new place to live. She stopped going to school during the day and quit her job.

"I don't want to have contact with them. I'm afraid for my life, and I don't dare live in Sandefjord, where I have all my friends and my network. I feel very alone sometimes," she says.

According to the police agent, the parents weren't seen as criminals who will seriously do good on the threats immediately.

According to the defense lawyer, Tove Nissen-Sollie, 40 days is not a sufficient punishment compared to what his daughter had to go through and how she must live for the rest of her life. Though the usual punishment for such threats is 15-30 days, Tove Nissen-Sollie says that it's too mild a punishment in such a case. It doesn't show what what the victim had gone through. She can't take chances and has to assume the threats are real. The lawyer also says the compensation is too low. The victim will have to live out her life with these threats.

Hege Storhaug of Human Rights Service is also very critical, and says that it's taken for granted that if an ethnic Norwegian would make death threats against his daughter in a police station, it would be dealt with harshly. She thinks the sentence didn't reflect how serious a threat of murder is, and that the court should have sent a clearer signal that Norway doesn't accept threats based on sexual fascism.

On the other hand, Unni Wikan, a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo, says that a court had never handed down a prison sentence for honor murder threats which did not involve physical violence. She says it is not so important how harsh the sentence it, it is still a clear message and a very positive development. Law professor Alf Petter Høgberg agrees that such sentencing is very rare in the Norwegian context.

Wikan says that such cases usually don't get to court. The girls go to the police and child protection service, but they don't dare testify. In this case, the girl's testimony to the police was used, which can offer a solution for other cases too.
