UNINCORPORATED NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - A 23-year-old man remains at-large after allegedly abducting his girlfriend and their toddler daughter Wednesday morning from an unincorporated north county residence.
According to Officer Randy Vaughn, a spokesman for the St. Louis County Police Department, the incident took place before 9 a.m. at an apartment in the 2600 block of Vanity Fair Drive.
The suspect, Bryan Grant, supposedly kicked in the apartment door of his 21-year-old girlfriend. Grant was armed and forced his girlfriend and their 10-month-old daughter into his Ford Explorer and drove away from the scene.
Vaughn said the girlfriend jumped from the vehicle near the intersection of Jennings Station Road and Hord Avenue and sustained minor injuries. The child was still in the vehicle.
The girl was found prior to 3 p.m. and said to be safe and in good condition. Police said Grant dropped off the vehicle and the child at a friend's house and fled. That friend then brought the car and the baby to a home at St. Louis Avenue and Goodfellow Boulevard, and police were then contacted.
Police described Bryan Grant as a black male, 5'10" tall and weighing 145 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
