Is WENDELL ABRAHMSON a custodial father? Did he have joint custody? Just visitation on a Thursday night (somewhat unusual to be sure)? The real question: why did this abusive father have access to this child at all?
He has a criminal history with convictions. He was so inattentive that he didn't notice that his 13-year-old daughter had apparently overdosed on drugs till she was "half dead." Then he agreed to take the girl to the mother's home ONLY if Mom paid for all the medical expenses--and she agreed to the same in writing. Then the POS punches Mom in the face, and leaves town because he was "angry." Only Mom took responsibility for getting this girl to the hospital.
Now Daddy's charged with child criminal endangerment. But who is responsible for letting this moron have any authority over this child? I'm sure this isn't the first time he's behaved like this. Daddy coddling at it's finest.

Father charged after failing to get medical help for teen overdose victim

GREAT FALLS - Wendell Abrahamson has been charged with child criminal endangerment after his 13-year old daughter was taken to Benefis hospital by her mother for an apparent drug overdose.
Court documents state that the child's behavior was erratic, she could hardly walk, and she had a resting heart rate of more than 160 beats per minute.
Medical staff told police that if left untreated, her condition was likely to cause "serious bodily injury or even death."
Abrahamson reportedly sent a text message to the girl's mother at 6:24 p.m. on Thursday indicating that the teen was lying on the floor at his home "half dead" from pills and that she was unresponsive.
Abrahamson then called the mother and said that he would bring the child home only after the mother wrote a letter stating that she would take all financial responsibility for the child and cover all medical bills.
The mother agreed, and Abrahamson took the girl to her mother's apartment, where he allegedly punched the mother in the face and left.
The mother then took the girl to the emergency department at Benefis hospital.
Abrahamson had indicated that the girl had taken only Nyquil and Tylenol, but testing ruled both out.
As of Friday morning, hospital staff still do not know what drug(s) the child ingested, and therefore is having difficulty treating her.
Abrahamson told police officers that the situation had made him angry, so he left town. When he returned to Great Falls, he contacted the police and allowed them to look inside his home.
The court document states: "At no time did the Defendant seek reasonable medical care for the child who was suffering from an apparent acute life threatening condition."
Abrahamson is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on Friday afternoon.
Abrahamson criminal history includes convictions for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct, and that he was charged with being a fugitive from justice in 2008.
