We're told that Mom "leaves" the kids with this homeless deadbeat druggie ex-con while she works, but that she doesn't live with him.
Given that this is Florida, I'm not sure this is her choice, though the article implies it is. Wonder if this is a court-ordered custody/visitation situation....Wouldn't surprise me.
Dad is identified as JOSEPH HANNON.

KISSIMMEE – Children begging food in a West U.S. Highway 192 motel on Sunday night led to the arrest of their father after Osceola County Sheriff's deputies were unable to wake him, records show.
Joseph Hannon, 27, was charged with child neglect and drug possession when deputies found him sleeping deeply with marijuana and other drugs in a room at the Amber Inn Motel, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies were summoned about 8:40 p.m. when two children, ages 2 and 6 years old, were walking around the motel knocking on doors and asking for food.
"Dispatch received a complaint of an intoxicated subject passed out in room 231 and his kids were running around…without being supervised," the arrest report stated. "The door was open and I observed…Joseph to be lying on the breathing but unresponsive."
Osceola County Fire Rescue paramedics responded to the motel but Hannon declined treatment.
Hannon, an ex-convict, had been living for about three months in the motel at 4624 West U.S. Highway 192, records state.
When deputies first arrived they had found Hannon lying next to a small amount of marijuana as well as tranquilizers, the report stated. Besides child neglect, Hannon was charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance without a prescription. He remains held at the county jail in lieu of $2,750 bail.
The children's mother, who no longer lives with Hannon but she leaves their children with him while she works, picked them up, the report stated. The incident was reported to the state Department of Children and Families.
