Of course it's an UNNAMED DAD. What is left totally unexplained: WHY DIDN'T THE MOTHER LIVE IN THIS HOME? Was Daddy able to secure custody in order to rape his own 5-year-old daughter and make child porn out of it? If so, who assisted this sicko in attaining "possession" of this child? What judges, shrinks, or other assorted corrupt personnel helped in the process? Notice that the reporter chooses not to go there at all, and totally avoids HOW this molester got access to this child and who gave it to him. This is typical....

EDMONTON — Police have charged a second Edmonton man in connection with a child pornography investigation involving a five-year-old girl.
The 34-year-old father of the girl faces sexual assault and child pornography charges, police say.
The girl’s 36-year-old uncle was arrested on May 26, following an international investigation by a team that included the Northern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation unit.
It is alleged the girl’s uncle, the father’s brother, sexually assaulted and took dozens of pornographic photos and videos of the girl starting when she was only a few months old.
The girl’s father, who cannot be named to protect the child’s identity, is now charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, incest, accessing child pornography, possession of child pornography and making child pornography.
“I can confirm that these charges are in relation to a later time in the child’s life,” Sgt. Mike Lokken said. “There is evidence to suggest at this point that the abuse was ongoing.”
The father appeared in court Friday morning and is scheduled to make another appearance July 10. The uncle is scheduled to appear in court June 12.
At the time of the first arrest, the girl was living in a north Edmonton home. She was taken into protective custody.
“Zebra Child Protection Centre along with Alberta Human Services dealt with this case to ensure the safety of the child,” Lokken said.
He confirmed several people were living in the residence, including the two accused. The girl’s mother was not living in the home.
Police say they know of about a dozen videos and hundreds of photos involving the victim. “We’re aware we could find more,” Lokken said.
The investigation started when U.S. Homeland Security passed along information to Ottawa RCMP about child pornography originating in Canada. Local police were notified by Ottawa and within a few days had enough information to make an arrest.
Lokken said police are “alive to the possibility that there could be more suspects identified and there could be more victims involved.”
Adam Holm, senior public affairs officer with Edmonton and Area Child and Family Services, could not comment on the investigation but said in any instance of child abuse the authority looks for a safe place for the victim.
“Our first emphasis is to look for family and keep the child with people they know,” Holm said. “In those situations where we can’t find an appropriate caregiver within the family or extended family then we look for foster care. The most important thing is to meet the child’s needs.”
Anyone who suspects a child is being abused can call the province’s child abuse hotline at 1-800-387-KIDS, Holm said.
