This is a little hinky. Why was the baby sleeping with dad STEVEN HELMS? Was this at night? If so, where is Mom? And if there is a mother, why is there no mention of her? Or was Daddy napping during the day? Weird....

WILLOWICK, Ohio -- A Willowick man was arraigned this morning on child endangering charges after his 5-month-old daughter died from injuries she may have received sleeping with him, police said.
Steven Helms, 30, is free on bond on the charge while Willowick police continue to investigate the death of Madilynn Helms, who died Tuesday at the Cleveland Clinic where she was transferred following her injury April 9.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Police said they were called to the home after the baby was unresponsive and lethargic. She was taken to Hillcrest Hospital before being transferred to the clinic.
Detective John Malady said police arrested Steven Helms on Friday after learning that he was in bed with the baby before her injury.
"She was fine before that, and then we got the rescue call," Malady said. "We can't say much more about it because it's under investigation. We're waiting for the medical examiner's report."
