The Knox County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the woman and little girl who were found murdered on Easter Sunday.

Investigators say Jorge Molina-Rivera, 28, admitted that he strangled his girlfriend, Nolvia Aguilera, 25, and their daughter, Allison Aguilera, 3, after an argument. He then cut himself on the arms and neck, and called his roommate. The roommate called 911 and told officers were to find Molina-Rivera and the victims.

Deputies discovered the suspect and victims in a van parked at a construction site on Rogers Island Lane in West Knox County. Molina-Rivera was on the crew that was building the house for Dean Rice, Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett's Chief of Staff.

Autopsies are being performed Tuesday on Aguilera and her daughter. Before their murders, the two had been living in Asheville. Molina-Rivera remains in the Knox County Detention Facility, charged with two counts of first degree murder.

A Knoxville man is charged with killing his girlfriend and their young daughter.

According to the Knox County Sheriff's Office, Jorge Molina-Rivera, 28, of Lake Brook Lane, is facing two counts of first degree murder. He is being held on a $2 million dollar bond.

Deputies responded to a home under construction on Rogers Island Lane in West Knox County on Sunday afternoon just before 3:30 pm. They found the bodies of the woman and child in a van, along with Molina-Rivera, who was unresponsive.

The home belongs to Dean Rice, Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett's Chief of staff.

"My wife and I had just taken some family members up to see the house and saw the van parked there," Rice said. "It looked just like a van that was from a construction worker had left over the weekend."

After being treated at UT Medical Center, Molina-Rivera later told investigators he strangled the woman and child with a rope after an argument with his girlfriend. He then cut his arms and neck.

"Its horrible, its absolutely a tragedy. How anyone could possibly dream of doing that to a child, a girlfriend, a wife, whatever the situation was, nothing would justify that," Rice said.

Rice says he checked with the contractors working on the house to see if Molina-Rivera was subcontracted to do work.

"Apparently the gentleman was not connected to the construction, that's from a conversation with a contractor," Rice said.

The woman and child's names and ages are not being released until their relatives are notified.
