Oh sure. A beating is sure to strengthen this girl's religious faith...NOT. But here's my question: did dad HARRY J. HINDRIX have custody? Notice that the girl was released to her STEPMOTHER, and that there is no mention of a mother. So let's run through our standard questions, the ones the mainstream media never asks, much less answers. Is the mother alive? If deceased, do we know for a fact that her death was from natural causes? Has she "disappeared"? Did Dad have joint or full custody? If so, who gave it to him and why? These are important things to know when there is a violent father and no mention of a mother, because this type also tends to be violent towards adult women, especially intimate partners. And they also tend to unrelenting in their pursuit of "control" over the kids.

RIVIERA BEACH — A Riviera Beach man who became upset over his 16-year-old daughter's absence from church has been arrested on a charge of aggravated child abuse.
Harry J. Hendrix, 44, was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly struck his daughter with the cable from a bike lock. He was released Wednesday night on $3,000 bond, Palm Beach County Jail records indicate.
The girl was sleeping on a couch when her father came home and began questioning her on why she did not attend church, according to an arrest affidavit. Hendrix told the girl she "would learn" and went upstairs to retrieve the bike lock, the affidavit said.
He allegedly struck the girl repeatedly before she ran outside and asked a neighbor for help. The neighbor allowed the girl to call 911.
The girl said she had been struck on the right forearm, abdomen and both thighs. She was treated at the scene and released into the care of her stepmother.
Hendrix did not make a statement to police but did not waive his right to make a statement later, the affidavit said.
