Dad MIGUEL LOPEZ has been charged with 2nd-degree murder in the death of his 6-year-old daughter. Notice that Daddy says the girl's fatal injuries have something to do with a "spiritual matter." Really? Looks like we have another fruitcake killer daddy, folks. One of those "god-made-me-do-it types. Funny, whenever I contact God's media office about these things, they always swear about these idiots who take the lord's name in vain. And besides, God isn't really all that keen on inflicting fatal head trauma on kids, you know? Anyway, so where is Mom is amidst all these "spiritual" injuries? Who knows, as no mom is mentioned at all. Single daddy?
INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office reports that a 6-year old Terrytown girl was killed by her father on Sunday and the man has been booked with murder.
Bella Lopez's death was reported on Sunday afternoon, and initially was considered "unclassified," said Col. John Fortunato, JPSO spokesman. Authorities were called to her home on South Forest Lawn Drive by her father, Miguel Lopez, 35, and when they arrived they found her wet, nude and lying in the bed not breathing. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
After an investigation and autopsy by the Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office, investigators determined the child died from head trauma and reclassified the death as a homicide, Fortunato said. The victim was found with multiple bruises and cuts, and during his 911 call, her father reported that her injuries had something to do with a "spiritual" matter.
Lopez told detectives on the scene that his daughter was acting strangely over the past couple of days. Lopez claimed he undressed her and carried her into the shower. He said the child stopped breathing, which prompted him to call 911.
Fortunato said that police have booked Lopez with second-degree murder and cruelty to a juvenile. He remains in custody at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna.
