Well, dad TIMOTHY E. MCATEE is just full of excuses, isn't he? The poor darling has an "anger problem", does he? Oh, I see. So that explains why this piece of crap, ahem, Poor Oppressed Father, would "squeeze the baby" (enough to break the baby's ribs, it seems) and pick up the baby by one leg (which resulted in a broken leg). I mean Daddy was just having such a bad day, everybody! Lighten up and give this guy a break! It's just the "anger problem" talking--not Daddy's fault!
But then there's the matter of watering down the baby's formula to "save money," and that's why the baby had gained no weight in two months. Is this also related to daddy's "anger problem"?
Or can we just admit that he's an @$$hole AND a cheap sonovabitch?
Also notice that Daddy's "anger" (read: abuse) was also targeted at the mother, which means she was at the receiving end of his sh** as well. Unfortunately, as too many mothers realize too late, it's extremely difficult to leave these guys. It's almost impossible to get an order of protection these days, and even if you do, the police generally won't enforce them. And more times than not, you will be stuck with joint custody with a vengeful "angry" ex--and that's if you live to that stage. Because many moms don't. The most dangerous time for the victims of domestic violence is right about the time they leave.

A Youngstown man was arrested Friday after doctors determined he broke his 8-month-old son's ribs and leg by squeezing his chest and picking him up by the legs, police said.
Westmoreland County detectives charged Timothy E. McAtee, 25, of 231 1/2 Main St., with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.
McAtee admitted to detectives that when he was taking care of the boy, he would cut the amount of formula he gave the baby in half to "save money," police said.
The Westmoreland County Children's Bureau Friday contacted Detective Robert Weaver after the baby was admitted to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh with three broken ribs and a broken tibia in his right leg.
Dr. Janet Squires told Weaver that the breaks were "in the healing stage and would have happened two to eight weeks before the hospital admission," according to a criminal complaint filed before Unity District Judge Michael Mahady. Squires said the breaks were a result of child abuse and the infant had not gained any weight for about two months.
The complaint stated that McAtee admitted in a subsequent interview that "he had an anger problem and would get angry at the baby's mother and the baby."
"When this would happen, (McAtee) would pick the baby up and have both of (his) hands around the baby's chest and would squeeze the baby," the complaint states. " ... He also said that sometimes when he was angry he would pick the baby up by one of the baby's legs."
McAtee told Weaver he squeezed the baby's chest about 10 times and picked him up by his legs five or six times.
"(McAtee) admitted that he knew he had hurt the infant when he did these things," Weaver wrote in the complaint.
A preliminary hearing for McAtee will be held Monday before Mahady.
He is being held in the Westmoreland County Prison on a $50,000 bond.
