Dad "allegedly" sews son's head using fishing line (Benson, North Carolina)

Hmm. Wonder if daddy JOHNATHAN ASHLEY AVERY was stitching up the kid with USED fishing line. You know, trying to save money and all. Might explain the infection. No mention of a mama.

INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

BENSON, N.C. --
A Johnston County father has been arrested and charged for allegedly using fishing line to sew up a wound on his son's head.

Johnathan Ashley Avery, 31, of Benson, N.C., was arrested on Friday and charged with felony child abuse.

Sheriff Officials say the incident was brought to their attention on Feb. 2 by the Triangle Child Abuse Pediatric Services.

Avery allegedly hit his son over the head with a spoon, causing a 3-inch laceration, said Johnston County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Tammy Amaon. Avery then used fishing line to sew up the wound. The child was taken for treatment after the wound became infected.
