Insofar as there is ever a good outcome following the rape of a child, this is one. Dad MICHAH KEATON is now serving 9 years in prison for the rape of his 6-year-old daughter. Too often, protective mothers like this are labeled as hysterical, sexually frigid, and/or "alienating" liars by defense attorneys and their "court whore" psychologist friends. It is increasingly common for fathers like Keaton to actually end up with child custody as a result. Disgusting, but unfortunately true.

Tri-State Community Stands Up To Child Abuse
Mother Comes Forward With Daughter's Shocking Rape Story

MASON, Ohio -- A Tri-State community is taking a stand against unthinkable crimes against children and it's getting some help from well-known NBC reporter Chris Hansen.
The Child Advocacy Center in Warren County held a dinner and silent auction in Mason on Wednesday to raise money to help victims of abuse and to educate people about the problem.
Hansen said he flew in to support the effort and the center. He is known for his work on the show "To Catch A Predator," which deals with the problem of child abuse.
During the event, a mother came forward to talk about her daughter's rape by the mother's husband. Erin Keaton said she was shocked when her daughter told her that her father had abused her.
"I was changing her brother's diaper and she used his anatomy to describe what her father had done to her the previous evening and that it had hurt," Keaton said.
Keaton said she couldn't believe that her husband, whom she had been with for 10 years, could have done such thing.
She said she took her daughter to a doctor and an examination confirmed her worst fears -- evidence of two rapes.
"I say she's my hero. She's the strongest person -- let alone now 6-year-old -- I've known and if you met her, you wouldn't know what all she's been through," Keaton said.
She said the Child Advocacy Center helped get them through the painful months of healing.
"They helped me learn how to be the parent of a sexually abused child. It's a lonely place to be," Keaton said.
Hansen applauded Keaton's strength in rescuing her daughter, and Keaton said she vows to help other mothers stand up for their children.
"You think that's something that happens to other people, but I'm here to say it doesn't and we have to speak out about it," Keaton said.
She said her husband, Michah Keaton, was given a nine-year sentence, which he is currently serving.
News 5 does not normally identify the victims of sexual assault, but Keaton said she is speaking out to help others through the process she and her daughter are going through.
