Dad accused of burglary; bringing 11-year-old child along (Newnan, Georgia)

Dad JAMES "JAMIE" FRANK JORDAN III has been charged with burglary, felony theft, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Oh, and also cruelty to children and animals. That last part? That's for "allegedly" forcing his 11-year-old child to help him with his burglaries and keeping him (or her) out of school for the past 4 years.

INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT: Notice that the child and his or her 3 siblings have been placed with "family members." What family members? Where is the mother? Not one word here about the mother of these children or whether she lived in this home or not. Why? Why does the media consistently fail to ask or answer such a basic question? Somebody had to have given birth to these children before they entered on-the-job training as baby criminals under Daddy's tutelage. Children don't just "appear" in a father's home. They have to be placed there, usually by some governmental authority unless the mother has died.

Coweta County father accused of theft, bringing son along

NEWNAN, Ga. (AP) — Coweta County officials have charged a man with several counts of burglary and believe he may have forced his 11-year-old child to help him steal items from people's homes.

Thirty-eight-year-old James "Jamie" Frank Jordan III, of Moreland, is charged with 15 counts of burglary, four felony thefts and four counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He's also charged with 15 counts of cruelty to children and one count of cruelty to animals.

Coweta County sheriff's investigators believe his child was being forced to participate in burglaries for the past four years and not getting any schooling.

Authorities say the child and three siblings have been placed with family members.

They count firearms, jewelry and even live animals among the items allegedly stolen.
