Note that this sicko UNNAMED DAD is out on bail DESPITE being charged with firearms offenses and previously trying to breach a domestic violence protection order. What the f----?

I wonder if these parents are separated or divorced, and this is a joint custody situation....That's more than likely in Australia.

Man on bail for sex abuse charges

A BUNDABERG father has been freed on bail, after he allegedly sent text messages asking his 14-year-old daughter to shower with him.

He was charged with indecent assault of a child under 16, but was not required to enter a plea at Bundaberg Magistrates Court last week.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Barry Stevens said the man tried to procure the girl to shower with him, by sending her text messages.

Defence barrister Simon Burgess argued that a message reading “why won’t you touch me?” was referring to a hug, and did not have any sexual motive.

He told Magistrate Jennifer Batts the father had a normal relationship with his daughter that included physical, but not sexual, contact.

But Sgt Stevens vehemently opposed bail, saying the man posed an unacceptable risk. “If he believes it’s normal to want to shower with your 14-year-old daughter, then there is something wrong with me,” Sgt Stevens said.

Sgt Stevens said the girl’s mother was horrified when she was told the pair had allegedly been showering together. He produced a statement from the woman, describing her husband’s alleged acts as “sick”.

The man was held for 45 days at Bundaberg Watchhouse after the allegations were made in March.

He was also charged with firearm offences and unrelated matters.

In his argument against bail, Sgt Stevens said the man was being investigated after he allegedly tried to breach a domestic violence order by contacting witnesses via a third party.

However, Magistrate Jennifer Batts took into account that the man had arranged accommodation outside the Bundaberg area, and granted bail.

He will appear again at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 18.
