Police say stepdad LI HAILONG beat his 2-year-old son to death. He was angry at the mom because she was forced to relocate to Beijing in order to find work to support the family. Dad threatened he would sell or kill the child if she didn't return, then claims he just couldn't "control himself" when he actually murdered the child.

Li Jinliang, a two-year-old child from Xinzheng, Henan Province in Central China, was beaten to death last Sunday by his step father Li Hailong.
According to the local police, the father, age 27, has been detained for intentional injury and some police officers have been sent to the Zhengzhou Children's Hospital to conduct an autopsy. The case is still under investigation.
Last Friday, Li Jinliang was sent to Zhengzhou Children's Hospital with beating bruises all over his body. Although the kid could still breathe with the help of life-support machine and medicines, his brain was actually dead. At 12:25 pm last Sunday, Li failed all rescue measures and was announced dead.
The kid's mother Sun Mei said the tragedy was caused by a fight between Li Hailong and her two months ago, when she left the family and went to work in Beijing. During this period, Li Hailong had called Sun several times, threatening if Sun didn't come back, he would sell or kill her son.
Sun, 22 is a mother of two children, the two-year-old son and a daughter. Su married Li, who is the son of her step father (her step-brother, no blood relation) in 2007 when she was pregnant with her ex-boyfriend's baby, who later became Li's step son Li Jinliang.
Li Hailong told the reporter that he did not intend to beat his step son to death and he just can not control himself.
