Dad DAVID ALLEN PETERS has been arrested on aggravated assault charges for injuries inflicted on his 10-week-old son. The baby suffered an arm fracture, bleeding in the brain, and other injuries during the assault.

Man arrested for attempting to murder his child

DUBOIS - State Police at DuBois have arrested a Sykesville man for the attempted homicide of his 10-week-old child.
David Allen Peters, 30, was charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault.
He was arraigned and placed in the Jefferson County Jail on $100,000 straight bail.
On Aug. 23, the defendant's 10-week-old child was transported by medical helicopter from the DuBois Regional Medical Center to Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh. The State Police, DuBois Criminal Investigation Unit, along with the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, Allegheny County Child Advocacy, Children's Hospital Medical staff, and Jefferson County CYS have been conducting an investigation into this infant's injuries.
The child remains in stable condition at Children's Hospital after being treated for an arm fracture, bleeding from the brain and other injuries.
