Sounds like daddy DALE SCOTT OLTEN SR. has been quite the parental role model. Guns are just a part of it. Then there's witness tampering, burglary, and so on. No wonder Junior is such a mess, too.

Father, Son Charged With Firearms Offenses

(Jefferson City) A Jefferson City-area father and son have been charged with federal firearms crimes.
A three-count indictment announced today accuses 46-year-old Dale Scott Olten Senior of Russellville of possessing a combined nearly 30 rifles, shotguns and handguns as a prior felon.
The document also claims Olten possessed stolen firearms and tampered with a witness. Court records show he has prior convictions for offenses that include burglary, resisting arrest, stealing and receiving stolen property.
Meanwhile, a two count complaint accuses 20-year-old Dale Scott Olten Junior - also of Russellville - of possessing weapons as an unlawful drug user. The complaint alleges he had five semi-automatic pistols between July 2008 and February 2009 while using marijuana. He's also charged with possessing stolen firearms.
