KENTUCKY

Anderson County

*Father: TIMOTHY FRAZIER
Victim(s): Cole Frazier (21 months)
Date of Death: May 2009
Father obtained custody with police assistance through fraudulent EPO. Shot son to death in murder-suicide. In 2009, mother filed lawsuit against police, city--results were apparently never reported in the media. In 2012, it was revealed that the State never performed an internal review of this little boy's murder, despite a mandate to do so.

Boyd County

Father: JOHN ELLIOTT JR.
Victim(s): Summer Adkins (2 years)
Date of Death: March 2012
Non-custodial father charged with manslaughter in daughter's death in June 2012. In February 2014, father sentenced to 7 years of prison in a plea bargain.

Christian County

Father: CHARLES T. MORRIS
Victim(s): Alayna Adair (3 years)
Date of Death: July 2011
Custodial father charged with murder in daughter’s death. State social worker is accused of failing to properly investigate previous abuse claim from one month before. Father had previous history of CPS investigations, domestic violence reports. Father's trial initially set for May 2012. In June 2012, social worker indicted on tampering with public records, a felony. In September 2013, father convicted and sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Clark County

Father: PATRICK WATKINS
Victim(s): Michaela Watkins (10 years)
Date of Death: 2007
Custodial father, stepmother found guilty of murder in girl's death. Girl removed from mother's home by social workers.

Henderson County

Father: MATTHEW BIAS
Victim(s): Annaliese Grace Bias (7 years)
Date of Death: August 2011
Father killed daughter in murder-suicide just hours before “new custody arrangements” were to begin.

Jefferson County

Father: DANIEL COX
Victim(s): Jayceon Chrystie (4 months)
Date of Death: August 2015
Father charged with murder in beating death of son. According to witnesses, he was beating the baby while driving, then returned the injured baby to the mother at her home. Parents obviously didn't live together, but formal custody arrangements not explained. Mom filed order of protection for baby, but baby died two days later.

Margoffin County

Father: JAMES GARCIA
Victim(s): Cameron Bryce Mullins (4 years)
Date of Death: December 2010
Father and girlfriend were charged with manslaughter in son’s beating death. Child was “in their care” at the time he was injured. In November 2011, indicted on manslaughter charges, pleaded not guilty. In May 2013, father admits "causing" death and convicted on reckless homicide.
